Mrs. Chittick has always been a source of information and great books, not only for me but for my classroom too!. I remember when my youngest daughter was little; she wanted to be a librarian like Mrs. Chittick so she could know everything too!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Chittick has always been really kind and helpful and is one of my favorite teachers and Wilder wont be Wilder without any of these teachers and I hope they all have a good retirement
DeleteG.G#8
Barb: Last year, during my very first week at Wilder, you introduced yourself as "Bad Barb" (ha!) Needless to say, I was a little weery of this self-proclaimed "bad" person. Yet, everything you have ever said or done has been so wonderful. You are dedicated, knowledgeable, and so kind. Thank you for all the GOOD you do and for being such a GOOD person! ;)
ReplyDeleteChris: I was struggling to remember all my Kindergarteners names at the beginning of the year when I started at Wilder. I made the excuse of: Well...I have 2 classes, so what do you expect? Then I went to Library for the first time. You knew every kiddo's name in the first 15 minutes and made connections to their siblings at the school as well. I am continually impressed by your knowledge of books and by your connection with each and every student.
Marge: You are my early morning buddy! I look forward to your cheerful hellos - often times as I tromp through your office because I've forgotten my pass at home. :) You are always asking me how my own children are doing, which I so appreciate. And, of course, thanks for all your yummy lunches!
I will miss you, ladies. Congratulations on your retirement!
Well in my five years of being here these teachers were my favorite I have never had Mrs.Herman but I have heard some great things about her. And Marge she was great I would never be able to be that fast on a keyboard. Mrs.Chittick was absolutely amazing she would help find the best book for you and she would always know where to find a book I will greatly miss all these teachers and hope they have a great retirement

Mrs. Herman, Mrs.Chittick, and Mrs.Ogden,
ReplyDeleteI just can not believe that you all are retiring this year. You are three of the most important teachers at our school!!! Mrs. Herman, you have taught all of the gifted and talented children extremely well; we all adore your intellectually challenging and extraordinarily delicious Dessert Days and your fabulous classes. Mrs. Chittick, the entire school has learned a mammoth amount about books and libraries and you are always there when I need help finding a book! Lastly, Mrs.Ogden, or should I say Marge, even though I do not purchase school lunches frequently, I still see how quickly you are able to type in lunch numbers and it puts me in awe. The entire school will suffer without you three fabulous ladies. I hope you enjoy yourselves in retirement and I wish you best for the future.
Sincerely yours,
E.F. #5 Swanson

Also, you had so many interesting activities that you shared with your students, and me. I have had you almost every year for math. I have gained a whole lot of knowledge from you.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Chittick, every time that we went to the library, you would recommend books to us, and tell us about different great things about the books, the sad things, and the books that you haven't read.
